Steps Taken By The Present Leaders To Improve Our Healthcare System

Newly-elected California Governor Gavin Newsom presented his outline of proposed changes to this state’s healthcare system, which include state negotiation of drug costs and a law that entitles every California resident to health insurance. Although, he admitted that doing all these changes will not be easy, and the state will need the intervention of the national government to implement these. By the sound of it, these changes will be subjected to another round of debates among politicians, which means that people will have to be more patient in their arduous waiting.
Washington Governor Jay Inslee also said a similar statement recently, as well as New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. It is good that our leaders have at least talked about the importance of improving the current healthcare situation. Without the initiative in politics, all of the public’s demands will go nowhere.
